The Drilling Begins
Alright, you are welcome once more great friend. Thank you for checking up again. I celebrate you and I know that you are worthy to be honored and celebrated. Thank you for committing yourself to this course. Don’t forget, we are on the quest of discovering your place in destiny.
So, let the drilling begin!. I know you can’t wait. Right? Smiles, don’t worry, every single atom will be drilled for the sake of thorough understanding. Just stay with me. Shall we?
Okay, so, after the branches we have cut down in the first three episodes, we will be taking a closer journey into our destination. We are still looking into how a man can discover his place in destiny and this will be our destination. But it is expedient that we first give an accurate perspective to the surrounding knowledge before diving completely to the drilling processes. And after all the expositions in the previous episodes, let the drilling begin!
In this episode, I am committed to reveal to you the mysteries behind “Discovering”. How you can effectively discern and know exactly where God has designed you to function in life. In our previous episodes, I made you understand that our places differ in destiny and it is our allegiance to staying in that place that brings us relevance in that sphere.
How can you truly discover your place?
There are a few things you must know.
You can not discover your place without God
Ensure you sap this in very well. Before we dive into any other thing, this must first be handled. You have to understand that your place is resident in God. How do I mean? The orchestrator and the designer of your place is God. Before time began, He was the one that crafted and designed your destiny. He strategically looked through the universe and found a unique place for you to function. Hence, He organized your make up to fit into the place He has designed for you. Therefore, if you will be able to discover it, then you need Him.
In the matter of destiny, God is not an option, He is the only option. As a matter of fact, He is the answer to it all. No mortal man knows you as God does. Whoever you are, God designed you and fashioned you into a specific sphere of influence before you came to existence. Hence, you can’t discover it without Him.
I believe I don’t need to dwell much here but just for the sake of emphasis. God told Jeremiah in the book of Jeremiah 1:5 KJV, that “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations”. Meaning, Before Jeremiah existed or came to this world, God knew him, designed him to be a prophet, and assigned him to that sphere to function. So also, God knew you before you were conceived in the womb. He knew you, designed you, and assigned you to a specific sphere to function.
So now, How do I engage God to discover my place?
Now that you know that you need God to discover your place. Firstly, if you are not born again, you have to be. Your destiny is tied to your salvation. Your destiny is rooted in God hence, you have to give your life to Christ and start a new life with God. A life of outright intimacy and fellowship with him. An unsaved man can not do business with God no matter how he wishes to. And it’s fortunate that no man gets to God except through Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Hence, you have to come to Christ and establish a relationship with the Father. If you have not, and you will like to give your life to Christ right now, just know that there is no distance and time in the spirit. You can get saved just right here. What you need to do is to believe in your heart that God sent Jesus and He came and died for your sins and you are ready to receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Now that you have believed in your heart, you need to confess it.
Romans 10:9-10(KJV) says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Now, just say after me. “Lord Jesus, I come before you today and I truly believe that you came and died for my sins. I am ready to accept you as my Lord and Savior, come and dwell in me by your spirit. I declare that I’m saved today. I am born again!”The Prayer of Salvation
Hallelujah, that’s all… Now that you are born again, a life journey begins. A journey of understanding the life of Christ and the kingdom you have come unto. For the sake of this post, we won’t be going there. But if you are the one that just got born again, kindly leave us a message with your contact, and let’s follow you up. Amen.
Ok, let’s continue…
Develop A life of Intimacy with God
It is one thing to have given your life to Christ, it is another thing to develop intimacy with God. You can be adopted into a family and you have been given access to the things and inheritance in that family and yet you don’t relate with the parents. You don’t have a kind of closeness with them.
Intimacy is a very vital key in the subject of destiny discovery. Like I said earlier, God designed the place for you, hence, you will definitely need Him to find it. How? By building intimacy with Him. A fellowship life with Him. He desires to have you seek and know Him. Adam was able to discover himself in destiny because he stayed in the jurisdiction of intimacy. He was partnering with God to bring His purposes and destiny to pass. A man that does not have a solid relationship and intimacy with God will never find his place.
The mystery behind this is, the more you seek God and know Him, the more your world, sphere or place in destiny will become clearer and visible to you. Your place is hidden in God, you have to search it out by persistent intimacy.
Apostle Johnson Suleman stylishly termed intimacy as “enter into me and see”. This means, the more you journey into God and know Him, the more you see clearly. You see your way and path in life. You see your destiny more clearly. You begin to understand what is truly written in the blueprint of your life.
You might have this question.
Okay, if I must have a relationship with God before I will find my sphere or place in destiny, what about the unbelievers or those that don’t have a relationship with God, does that mean they can never find their place in destiny or they have never found?
The answer is they can’t! But the Bible says something profound about God. Let me show you.
Matthew 5:45(KJV) “That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”
Jesus was speaking here. He was trying to reveal to his disciples and people one of the powerful attributes of God. He was saying that God is too loving that whether a man is good or evil, God channels His resources to him. He gives rain to both evil and good, just and unjust! This is because He is love and He can’t but love. His default behavior and character is love. This is the reason why despite all the wickedness that goes around the globe, He has never ceased the air, water, sun, and every other resource from the wicked ones.
So, it is possible for a man that doesn’t know God to find his sphere and purpose. But such a case only happens when mercy speaks for such a person. Hence, such a person out of zeal and passion to find his place can meander his way into destiny. But in the original blueprint of God, no man should journey into discovery without having a relationship with Him.
This is why the principles and the systems that God established before the foundation of the earth can work for any man regardless of who he is, in as much as he obeys the formulas/principles that open the system. For example, the principle of sowing and reaping, giving, seedtime and harvest, and so on works for any man.
The only problem is, such man will find himself in too many errors before mercy can bring him into his place.
Take an illustration
Let me give you an illustration so as to understand the difference better. If two men are blindfolded and are told to go in search of a thing and then one of them is given a guide that will hold his hands and lead him there, while the other one is not given a guide. Who do you think will get there early and will not stumble much? It’s the one with a guide!
This is how it is for a man who has no relationship with God and a man who has. Both of them are blind, meaning they don’t know where their place in destiny is at the beginning. But one decided to have a constant relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. He continued in prayer, fasting, studying the Word, fellowship, and so on. Hence, God began to hold him by hand leading him through the way. In the end, he will be able to get there early, and even if he will stumble or fall on the way, it will be minimal and he has someone that can lift him up, comfort him and keep him standing on his feet again to his destination.
But a man without God, going alone blindfolded, will struggle so much before he can get there. In fact, he will miss his way so many times! So many obstacles will bring him down. He will not be able to avoid them because he is not lead by the spirit of God (Romans 8:14). Such a person, it will take mercy for him to get to that destination because he will so much miss the road! This is how it is for an unbeliever. They only follow instincts and their brain calculations. They have no guide to lead them through the way. So it will only take mercy for them to be able to discover their place.
This is the advantage we believers have. We have the Holy Ghost. We are led by Him. He holds our hands as he leads us through the path of destiny. He instructs us on the way, ”do not put your feet there, there is a trap. Do not put your feet there, there is a log of wood that can make you fall. Carry your leg up a little and turn to your right!” He instructs us on the journey and in the end, He brings us to our place and sphere in destiny.
So, you can see that it takes a man that has developed an intimate work with God to discover his place. It will be easier for him than a man who doesn’t. This is the reason why you see many people in our world missing their places in destiny. It’s because they have no relationship with God. They depended on their human brain capacity to lead them. They depended on their wisdom and their skills but in the end, they found themselves where God doesn’t put them.
Intimacy with God is extremely paramount and required!
Now that you have understood that intimacy with God is required, you need to also understand the other things that are required for you to come into a point of discovering your place.
Time is Required
It is true that the blindfolded man held by a guide on the journey will get to his destination quicker and avoid obstacles but yet, time is still required! What does that mean? The system that governs anything in this realm is time. Nothing can be achieved without it. It is only how much time we spent or used on things that differs. You must understand that it will still take time whether early or late, time is required!
So when working and walking with God on the path of discovering, you must understand that time is required. He isn’t a magician and He won’t just carry you from the beginning and drop you at the end like that. You will follow precept upon precepts, line upon lines. God has to take you on a journey of time. It’s a gradual process.
If you have been thinking about discovering your place and sphere in a jiffy, I can vividly tell you that you are making a big mistake. You have to truly allow God to take you through time. Every man that found his place in life or destiny didn’t wake up to it. They followed God through time and after a while, the realm was completely opened to them and they got to the point where they could vividly say, this is my place in life!
It takes time Sir/Ma.
Process is Required.
It is called discovering because it is a continuous act. Destiny can’t be deciphered once. You can’t know your place in life at once. God will take you through some steps. In fact, let me shock you. At the beginning of your journey, God might not even take you through the route that leads to your place in life. At first, He might not even take you through that route! He might, first of all, carry you through a route to learn some basic things you will need at the end when you discover your place.
So you can see God taking you through a route and later he instructs you to leave the route for another one. It is not that He doesn’t know that the route isn’t meant for you, it’s simply because He wants you to learn and pick the necessary arsenals you will need to equip yourself before you get to your final destination.
For example, a man that God has a ministry in mind for him. He ordained him for ministry. He knows that his place and sphere in life are on the mountain of religion. Yet, at the beginning of his journey, God might first take him to the sphere of Education and tell him to start studying a course and even get to a professional level. And in the end, He tells him now you can start walking on the route of ministry, drop those certificates. God isn’t wicked, neither is it that He doesn’t know what He is doing. It’s just that, God always wants a man to be thoroughly furnished and equipped for any assignment before He sends him forth. So, if he needs a man to have a taste in the media world, Education, Art, and even Politics before He will send him to the path of ministry, one way or the other in the man’s life, God will bring those things his way!
So this is where we normally miss it. We can find God leading us to media today because we can sing well and God just wants us to train our voice well and know some things in music and then we camp our tabernacle there and call ourselves music minister. Whereas God only wants you to equip yourself of that arsenal from that sphere of influence, so that by the time He takes you on the path of your real sphere which is either Politics, Arts, Religion, or whatever, you will be able to fit in perfectly. God always sees the end from the beginning. He knows what you need in order to effectively function in your sphere. So, gradually as you walk with Him through time, He will be asking you to venture into those things so that you can be well equipped for your real assignment!
That’s why you can see a man that God is calling into global ministry and God will take him from scratch and tell him to be well educated. He will take him through degrees and courses. At one point in his life, He might even tell him to learn how to play musical instruments and learn music itself. On campus, He might even tell him to venture into politics and contest for a post. In a season of his life, God can even tell him to learn the basics of writing, blogging, web designs, and so on. God will be venturing him into different things. But in the end, after journeying with God, God now establishes his feet on the path of ministry completely. Those things happen so that he will be well equipped for the global ministry God has for him, and he will be able to carry out his assignments!
This is how God works out our destiny for us. Can you see the reason why intimacy, time, and process are required if you will successfully discover your place? I tell you with all sincerity, you will never discover your real place if you can’t stay through with God to take you through all those processes in time. Therefore you must be very patient with God. Listen, in as much as you stay in obedience, God can never lead you wrong! All those places or things He is leading you to venture into, He has reasons for them! He is simply equipping you for the sphere ahead.
This leads me to the last requirement I will give you in this post.
Obedience is required.
I don’t even need to emphasize this one too much. With all the things I have communicated above, you should understand that obedience is a very vital key to discovering your place. Check every man that becomes established in their sphere and became known and relevant, they simply followed and obeyed through! They stayed and obeyed God to the letter.
They all are men of obedience. When God was taking them through the journey, telling them to “turn right, don’t turn left. Be careful, lift your leg up a bit, don’t run, there is a tree ahead”, they were simply obeying. And in the end, they got to their destination.
You must understand that God will never lead you astray. His instructions are meant to fashion you to become what He has in mind for you. Learn to obey. Do as the master says per time. This is how you can successfully journey with Him to your place. Obedience is vital.
So now that you have understood the major requirements for your discovering, what are the things you must watch out for, for you to finally conclude that this is my place and sphere in life and I am going to stay there and explore it?
In the next episode;
which will be the last episode, I will give you the authentic nuggets you need to watch out for to know when you have truly gotten to your destination. By the end of that post, you will know if you have gotten to your sphere yet or you still have to journey more with God in discovering it.
Thank you for reading. Make sure you leave your comments below. God bless you.
